ESX Cli ile system info , memory info , processor info bilgilerini öğrenmek

Herkese merhabalar sevgili okurlarım , uzun bir süredir ekstra iş yoğunluğundan buraları boş bırakmıştık. 🙂 Daha dolu içerikler ile paylaşımlarımı sık yapma sözünü peşinen veriyorum.
Bu makalemizde ESX hostlarımız üzerinde CLİ (Command Line İnterface) komutları ile nasıl System İnfo, Memory , CPU, Cache v.b bilgilerini gözlemleriz ondan bahsediyor olacağız. GUİ arayüzü çoğu zaman işimizi çözsede bazı durumlarda “Sunucu üzerinde kaç adet slot mevcut ? ” veya “ Kaç adet CPU socket mevcut ? ” gibi sorularla karşılıyoruz. Bu soruların bir çoğunu İLO/İdrac gibi arayüzlerden çözümlesekte erişimimizin daha kısıtlı ve İLO/İdrac portlarının up olmaması durumunda zorlanıyoruz veya planlı bir kapanış ile fiziksel müdahale ederek öğrenmek durumunda kalıyoruz. Bu tür bir durumda hostunuzun üzerinde ESX mevcut ise aşağıda sizinle paylaştığım CLİ komutları ile rahat bir çözüme kavuşturabilirsiniz.
Ben test olarak yan tarafta ki kaynaklara sahip olan bir ESX host üzerinde test ediyor olacağım.
Tabi ESX hostumuza SSH bağlantısı gitmeden önce Configuration >> Software > Security Profile >> Properties tabindan SSH servisini aktif etmemiz gerekecek.

CLİ arayüzü üzerinde “smbiosDump” komutu kullanarak işlem yapacağız. “smbiosDump” komutu bize hostumuzun üzerinde ki genel sistem bilgilerini verir. “smbiosDump” bu konuda bizim için çözüm olmayacak. Çünkü bize çok uzun takip edilemeyecek derece uzun bir çıktı veriyor olacak. Çıktıları süzdükten sonra içinden ihtiyacımız olan bazi şeyleri kendimce “grep” komutu ile süzdüm ve aşağıda sizinle paylaştım. Bunlar Sistem bilgileri , Memory İnformation , Processor İnformation , Port Connector ve Cache information. Tabi “smbiosDump” komutu içinde sizinde ayriyetten filtrelemek istediğiniz bir durum mevcut ise benim grep komutunu kullanabilir veya benim grep komutlarımı düzeltebilirsiniz.

Memory İnformation
Memory info üzerinde sıraladağım ilk “grep -A 4” komutu , 4 satırın detaylı bilgilerini getirecek ve bu bilgiler sunucunun maksimum destekleyeceği memory bilgisini tarafımıza gösterecektir. Biz slot ve slot üzerinde ki memory bilgilerini öğrenmek için ardından göstereceğim “grep -A 12″ kullandık ve 12 satırın detaylı halinde bilgilerini tarafımıza aşağıda ki gibi getirdi.
” grep -A 12 ” çıktımıza baktığımızda “Memory Device” olarak belirtilenler satırlar sunucu üzerinde bulunan her adet slotun bilgisini göstermektedir. Memory device adetlerinin toplamı toplam slot sayımızı göstermektedir. Aşağıda paylaştığım çıktıda 24 adet memory slotumuz olduğunu görüyoruz. Slot üzerinde takili olan memory bilgisinin çıktısını SARI , takılı olmadığı zaman ki gösterdiği memory çıktısını ise MAVİ olarak belirtiyorum.
